Giving Tuesday - Dr. Elsa Jungman x Ignite Worldwide

For GivingTuesday, we’re giving back to the nonprofit organization: Ignite Worldwide. This nonprofit is on a mission to achieve gender equity in STEM. Ignite Worldwide works directly with teachers during the school day to provide programming that promotes STEM education and career advancement for girls and non-binary youth from historically marginalized communities. Through hands-on events that connect students with role models who live and work in their communities, students recognize new possibilities for their futures.

As a female scientist myself, I’ve realized that the power us women have to change the world is unlimited. The young girls that many of us have in our very own lives have endless potential and in a world full of opportunity, we should choose to empower them in any way that we can as it can make a difference.

Unfortunately, we live in a world where many young women don’t have easy access to STEM education. Thanks to nonprofit organizations Ignite Worldwide they are working to change this by fostering excitement, confidence and literacy in STEM for underrepresented communities. 

We’ve decided to donate a portion of our Black Friday sale through Giving Tuesday to Ignite Worldwide this year to show our appreciation and support to a powerful cause. This organization aligns very closely with our mission and we of course invite you to participate in this initiative as well. 

Whether your participation involves showing kindness to others, showing gratitude to the hard workers in your life or simply spreading the word on social media, we invite you to do something today that involves giving back to your community in some way.
